General Counseling

What is a Licensed Professional Counselor?

A LPC is someone who has at least a Master’s Degree in Counseling and is licensed by the state to provide psychotherapy. LPCs do not prescribe medication.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions begin on the hour and last 50 minutes.

How can I make an appointment?

If you are interested in setting up an appointment, please call us at (703) 242-2313.  Calls will be returned within 24 hours.

Insurance/Payment

Do you participate with insurance panels?

We participate with some insurance panels. We will submit claims to your insurance company and collect the deductible from you at each session.

How do I get reimbursed if the therapist is considered “Out-of-Network”?

If we do not participate with your insurance panel, your plan may provide for “out-of-network” counseling. Since Bobbi and Rosanne are both LPCs, most insurance companies will reimburse a portion of cost of counseling. Your insurance company will explain what is covered. We can then submit a statement to you at the end of the month to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on factors such as the Degree of the provider, their expertise, and the area of the country where you live. Our fee is comparable to those of other private practitioners in the area. The initial session is $150 and the following sessions are $130/hour.

How can I pay for my sessions?

We accept cash and check as forms of payment.
